The rallycross/rx

The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps will host the Spa World RX of Benelux for the second time in 2021.

The World Rallycross is a championship offering short and extremely fast races on mixed surfaces: dirt and tarmac.

Its high-level drivers compete in RX Supercars with over 600 horsepower that can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under two seconds.

History of the rallycross

The Rallycross was dreamed up by Robert Reid, producer of the ITV programme "World of Sport" at the time. The first competition was held in 1967, at Lydden Hill. The Rallycross rapidly acquired its reputation at the heart of motorsports, starting on the Continent in 1969 with a leg in the Netherlands, then in Sweden two years later.

In 2014, IMG launched the first World Championship in Rallycross (FIA World Rallycross Championship).

The popularity and media coverage of the FIA World Rallycross Championship have quickly expanded, attracting numerous champions from other disciplines and renowned manufacturers.
